Die aktuellen BIOS Versionen findet man entweder auf der jeweiligen Modellseite von Gigabyte oder in der Ultimativen AM4 UEFI/BIOS/AGESA Übersicht (15.11.19).

Ich hoffe auf rege Beteiligung. Es handelt sich um einen dynamischen Informationsprozess, der diesem Eingangspost auch erweitern soll. Deshalb bitte ich um Information, wenn bestimmte Informationen bereits in diesem Eingangspost erscheinen sollen.

FAQ:
1. BIOS Nomenklatur: Bei Gigabyte kann man anhand der Versionsnummer direkt erkennen, ob es sich um ein Release oder um eine Testversion handelt. Bei letzterer endet die Versionsnummer mit einem Buchstaben. (oNyX`)

2. meine NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD geht nicht
Das Problem läßt sich im Allgemeinen dadurch beheben, daß man dem Board explizit mitteilt, daß es PCIe 3.0 zu verwenden hat. Der Eintrag nennt sich "PCI Slot Configuration) und kann manuell auf Gen1 bis Gen4 sowie Auto gestellt werden. Bitte beachtet, daß die Systemweit gilt und so z.B. auch eine 5700 unter dem eingestellten Wert läuft.

3. Meine PCIe x1 Karte geht nicht
Das ist momentan noch ein Bug im BIOS. Vereinzelt kann es auch zu Bootproblemen führen. Momentan ist der einzige Workaround, die Karte zu entfernen

4. PBO funktioniert nicht
Auch dies ist ein Bug um BIOS. Er tritt seit BIOS F10A/AGESA 1.0.0.4 auf. Das BIOS liest hierbei die Boardwerte für EDC nicht aus und deaktiviert daraufhin den PBO-Boost. Man kann dies momentan umgehen, indem man den EDC-Wert explizit auf 0 setzt. Bei den AMD-Performance -> PBO Einstelllungen muß eine EDC von Null eingetragen werden.

5. Ich habe ein CMOS Clear durchgeführt, aber es werden weiterhin die alten Settings verwendet.
Bei einem CMOS Clear sollten eigentlich alle Einstellungen auf Default zurückgesetzt werden. Das passiert auch fast komplett. Jedoch bleiben die Einstellungen im AMD-Overclocking Menübereich komplett erhalten und werden nach Start des Systems auch verwendet. Man muß dort die Werte händisch löschen!

6. Seriennummer-Nomenklatur:
Man kann anhand der Seriennummer das Produktionsdatum des Boards ermitteln. Lautet die Seriennummer am Beginn z.B. SN1928xxxxxxxx besagen die Stellen 3&4 (19) das Produktionsjahr, die Stellen 5&6 hingegen die Produktionswoche. Das Board mit obiger Seriennummer wurde alsoo in der Woche 28 des Jahres 2019 produziert.

Ich bitte dabei zu berücksichtigen, daß in Deutschland die erste Kalenderwoche unterschiedlich zu den USA ermittelt wird.

7. Wem das Sägen des CPU-Kühlers auf den Nerv geht, kann diesen an die Leine nehmen. Bei oNyX` zeigten sich folgende Werte als besonders hilfreich
1. 27% default
2. 30% 60c
3. 50% 70c
4. 75% 75c
5. 100% 80c
Diese Werte können direkt im Bios oder via SIV eingetragen werden.

8. Ich möchte hier darauf hinweisen, daß das Schreiben von Werten im Ryzen Master mit größter Vorsicht zu genießen ist. Es werden z.B. bei RAM-Werten Dinge direkt in den AGESA Bereich geschrieben, der für Mainboardhersteller gesperrt ist. Es kann und kam dabei dazu kommen, daß das Board nicht mehr lauffähig ist. Hat man bereits Werte geschrieben, kann man mit der Prozedur:
- BIOS inkl. Agesa neu flashen
- BIOS Hardware-Reset
das Board wieder in einen lauffähigen Zustand versetzen. Dies ist aber nicht garantiert. Auf OCN musstem mehrere Nutzer ihr Board trotz der Prozedur zurücksenden. Diese Warnung betrifft mWn ALLE X570 Boards.

9. AMD hat für hwInfo festgelegt, daß das Interwall zum Auslesen der Werte alle 500ms erfolgen soll. Standardmäßig sind hier 2 Sekunden parametrisiert. Ich bitte dies bei Benchmarks etc. zu berücksichtigen

10. Sollte das BIOS bei der Nutzung von Tastatur und/oder Maus ruckeln, kann man im BIOS mit dem Tastaturkürzel "Strg-Alt-F6 " die Auflösung bis zum nächsten Reboot auf den VGA Modus limitieren. Dies sollte den Eingabe-Lag beheben.

1900 IF macht sowohl das Board, als auch CPU mit. Und die DualRanked laufen wohl auch 3800 MHz ohne Probleme.

Zu Punkt 5...CMOS. Könnte man nicht beim ersten erfolgreichen Hochfahren im efi speichern? Wenn etwas nicht läuft bzw bluescreen dann default-Zustand laden.
 
Er lädt doch bei einem Bootversagen die Defaults/letzte funktionierende Config. Zumindest, wenn es die gleiche BIOS Version ist.
 
Ich weiß nun woher die Fusion Abstürze bei mir kommen.. RAM!
Sobald ich in der Software den RAM anwähle schmiert es ab.
Hoffe da tut sich noch was zwecks Kompatibilität.

mein System läuft ja auch nun seit ein paar Tagen und das auch sauber. X570 Master (F11) ,3900X, 32GB Ram. Im Idle/Streamen beläuft sich die Temperatur auf 28- 34 Grad CPU Temp. Der X570 Chipsatzlüfter läuft nie unter Idle/Streamen nur beim booten. Da beläuft sich die Temp auf 36 - 40 Grad.

Das einzige was ich feststellen konnte ist, das die RGB Beleuchtung vom DDR4 Ram nicht säuber läuft wenn man ihn mit der Software steuern möchte. Dann stocken die einzelnen LED`S im Farbablauf und es sieht ziehmlich ruckartig aus. Werde mal Thermaltake und Gigabyte anschreiben und hoffen das was passiert.
 
Mein Corsair Arbeitsspeicher hat nun ein Firmwareupdate erhalten. Wusste bisher gar nicht das Arbeitsspeicher überhaupt eine Firmware benötigen.

Da dieser Speicher bisher nicht mit dem mitgelieferten XMP Profil auf den Gigabyte X570 Aorus Elite laufen wollte, und ich relative hohe Timings habe um den Speicher mit 3533 MHz laufen zulassen, stelle ich mir jetzt die Frage inwieweit es sich lohnen würde nochmal ins Thema Arbeitsspeicher einzusteigen.

Sind große Änderungen in der Taktrate und/oder Timings durch das Firmwareupdate zu erwarten?

Board: GB X570 Aorus Elite mit UEFI Version F11
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200 MHz, CL 16 Version 4.32 (Vermutlich Samsung C-Die, die eine RAM Erkennungssoftware zeigt B-Die an, ist aber vermutlich falsch.)

Ok, erste Nacht jetzt vom Strom genommen, um den Cold-Boot zu testen. Aber das Board hat den Start einfach konsequent verweigert. Keine Reaktion auf den Powerbutton.
Nach Pin-Reset ist es sofort gestartet über den Powerbutton.

Ich dachte, bei dem Bug würde sich nur das BIOS resetten? Das die Kiste überhaupt nicht starten will, ist ja nochmal ne Stufe übler...
Wirklich schade, abseits davon macht das Teil eine ausgesprochen gute Figur...

Werde jetzt mal von F4 auf das Aktuelle wechseln, und testen, ob sich was tut.

EDIT: Das F11 Update hat die Bootzeit schon mal halbiert. 20 Sekunden von Powerbutton bis Desktop sind nun sogar flotter, als mein Sandy Bridge System.

nein, ich denke nicht, das mit dem FW-Update grosse Änderungen im Timing oder Taktrate zu erwarten sind. Das deine Riegel eine FW haben, kann nur mit dem RGB Gedöns zusammenhängen, ansonsten hat RAM keine eigene FW. Es sind doch ausschließlich 'passive' Speicherchips verbaut, also ohne eigene Intelligenz.

Zu den Corsair RAM kann ich dir nur raten, verkaufe die. Ich hatte Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM und habe die auf meinem Aorus Elite Board nie stabil mit 3200 MHz zum Laufen bekommen. Ich habe mir vor zwei Wochen ein 32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport LT RAM Kit (Micron E-Die) gekauft und der läuft total fluffig und problemlos auf 3600 MHz. Den Corsair RAM habe ich verkauft. Der läuft jetzt mit 3200 MHz auf einem z470 Board. Das zu den Kompatibilitätsproblemen.

Ja, du Glücklicher, sei zufrieden. Du hast vermutlich noch Samsung B-Dies bekommen. Meine Riegel waren irgendwelche Samsung C-Die Gurken. Ich wollte die auch nur ganz normal auf XMP mit 3200 laufen lassen, aber das ging ja leider nicht.

Aber ich bin auch nicht auf dem Quetsch-das Letzte-heraus-OC Trip. ;)
Ich, ursprünglich auch nicht :giggle:, aber als die so fluffig auf 3200 liefen, dachte ich, schau mal. ob die auch mehr schaffen. Die 3600 waren ohne Action, alles auf Auto :ROFLMAO:
 
Update: Das Problem von #729 konnte ich zumindest mit dem aktuellen F11 nicht reproduzieren (nach 1h ohne Strom).
 
Aktueller Stand:

X570 Master / F11
3900X - Alphacool Eisbär Extreme AIO bei 35Prozent Leistung - Pumpe sowie Lüfter / 4,3GHz AllCore bei 1,25V Stabil - (Prime95 3Std maximal 75Grad) sowie (Cinebench R15 mit Multi: 3331cb und Single: 215cb - maximal 65Grad.) Dabei werde ich es auch erstmal belassen. Die VRMMOS werden auch maximal nur 45Grad heiß.

Der Ram 32GB läuft stabil auf allen 4 Ram`s mit 3200MHz bei 31Grad.

Bisher kann ich nicht meckern was das Board in Kombination mit dem 3900X angeht.
 
Muss jetzt nochmal das Elite loben: Trotz Daisychain laufen jetzt 4x16GB Rev.E mit vollen 3800MHz/1900IF und "scharfen" Timings. Also keine Einbußen ausgehend von der 2x16GB Bestückung (abgesehen von 1ns höherer Latenz).

Wenn jetzt keine Cold-Boot Shenanigans mehr auftreten, bin ich äußerst zufrieden.

Etwas störend finde ich noch den doch etwas hohen Idle Verbrauch von ~56-58W (1x SSD, 1x HDD).
 
Laut dem Smart-Fan regelt das Board den PCH Lüfter anscheinend über den vom Board vorhandenen Chipsatz-Temperatursensor. Stimmt das wirklich? Der bleibt bei mir im offenen Benchaufbau ohne Airflow immer zwischen 40 und 43 Grad, während der Temperaturwert von AMD für den Chipsatz immer etwa 10 Grad darüber ist. Das Teil ist bisher noch nicht angesprungen, daher kann ich noch nicht genau sagen, welcher Wert den nun für die Regelung genutzt wird. Wäre gut zu wissen, wie viel Puffer vorhanden ist.

Sie laufen jetzt mit 3533 MHz mit CL18 100% Prime95 und Memtest stabil. Der Verlust bei den Timings macht die RGB Beleuchtung mehr als weg. 😜

Ab ca 60C (meine 62C waren es genau) die Differenz zwischen AMD Probe und GB Sensor sind zwischen 10-14C dank des minderwertigen Waermeleitpads, ersetzt man es durch Paste sinkt die Differenz auf ca. 8C.

Sobald du eine Trippleslot GPU mit modernem Kuehlerdesign (Finnen der Kuehlung nicht Richtung Slotblende sondern Richtung Mobo) verbaust pumpt die GPU die Abwaerme genau in die Öffnung vom Chipsetfan. Dann laeuft der Fan aber dafuer unhoerbar.

 
Moment, also regelt das Board nach dem AMD Sensor? Falls es nach dem Board Sensor regeln würde, wäre ein schlechtes Pad ja sogar von Vorteil? :d

Hab auf dem Testbench eine 2-Slot 7870 XT, damit blieb das Teil auch unter 3D-Last bisher aus. Im Hauptrechner kommt dann eine GPU mit Fullcover zum Einsatz, da bleibt es hoffentlich definitiv passiv (auch wenn der Lüfter in der Tat bei niedrigen Drehzahlen keine störende Frequenz hat).

Nehme jetzt heute Nacht den Rechner nochmal vom Strom (mit 4,2GHz CPU OC, 3800 MHz RAM OC) und teste morgen nochmal nach den Cold-Boot. Ansonsten macht das Board echt Spaß: tolles BIOS, sehr flotter Boot, gut OC möglich.

Weiß eigentlich irgendwer, wie das Board reagiert, wenn der AMD Chipsatz überhitzt? Würde sonst echt in Erwägung ziehen, den Lüfter einfach abzustecken. Kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass der in meinem Anwendungsfall jemals über 85 Grad geht passiv.
 
Es regelt nach dem Gigabyte Sensor, nicht AMD.

Mit der GTX1080 altes Kuehlerlayout (2Slot, Finnen Airflow Richtung Slotblende) lief der PCH Fan auch nie, mit der 2070 neues Design war sobald GPU Last der Luefter aktiv.

Ok, werde dann sehen, wies mit dem Fullcover ist - bleibe mal optimistisch. Die Karte strahlt natürlich dennoch ziemlich viel Abwärme ab. Berührt bei euch das PCB eigentlich auch den Chipsatzkühlkörper? Oder liegt das an meinem aktuellen horizontalen Aufbau?

Hatte auch überlegt, ob man diese Plastikabdeckung auf dem Kühlkörper sinnvoll entfernen kann. Ist ja eigentlich auch nur ein weiteres Hinderniss für passive Kühlleistung.

Ich bin Neuling im Forum, verfolge aber gerade diesen Strang über die Gigabyte X570 Aorus Serie seit einigen Wochen mit grossem Interesse .

Das Stichwort "Daisychain" weckt mein Interesse und lässt mich fragen:

Handelt es sich um Thunderbolt 3?

Ich frage deshalb, weil das Elite ,meines Wissens nach, ebenso wie mein Xtreme (Rev 1.0), keinen TBC_Header besitzt.

Im Netz kursieren allerdings einige "Erfolgsmeldungen", Tunderbolt 3 auf AMD-Boards (auch Gigabyte X570) stabil zum Laufen gebracht zu haben per GC-TITAN RIDGE.

Nach 12h ohne Strom ist er jetzt ohne Probleme gestartet mit sämtlichen OC Settings. Sind aber auch noch kein 1,5 Tage..
 
Genau, "nur" BIOS Reset. Eine Startverweigerung hatte ich auch, aber ich gehe mal von einem Fehler meinerseits aus, hatte das Bootdevice fälschlicherweise geändert, kam nur mit einem Clear wieder ins BIOS.
 
Werde das jetzt die nächsten Tage noch beobachten und versuchen zu "provozieren". Wenn das Ding in den Hauptrechner wandert, kann ich ohnehin an einer Hand abzählen, wie oft das Board im Jahr ohne Strom ist (Master einer Master-Slave Leiste).
