GeIL: CAS 1.5 DDR400, DDR650 And Carbon Fiber DIMMs
GeIL managed to surprise us because it actually managed to show several new products at a time. That is particularly interesting since GeIL basically is a memory company 'only'.
Its biggest news is the announcement of DDR400 DIMMS that support a CAS latency of 1.5 clocks at slightly increased voltage. However, your motherboard BIOS needs to support that. Right now, GeIL told us that DFI's LANParty series is the first product to support CL 1.5; others such as Asus are very likely to follow soon.
But that was not all: These memory modules are technically capable of running CL 1.0 if you provide a decent platform and also apply a voltage that clearly exceeds 3 Volts. If you don't want to do that, you may also go ahead and overclock these DIMMs up to 325 MHz (DDR650, see image below), which is quite an impressive clock speed for DDR DIMMs.
Isn't that nice? 325 MHz DDR speed at acceptable timings.

The same DIMMs are actually able of running CL 1.5.

Also für mich sieht der Ram mega geil aus, bei wenig spannung macht er trotzdem hohen FSB mit, dann mit etwas entspannteren Timings und mit viel Spannung hammer timings, dann sogar CAS 1...
