watching movies in english improved you so much? i dont think so, i always have to look to the subs, cause i always want to know all the words said, but i often miss some.

i think, that the subs are too fast to read them all and follow the movie at the same time

and @ harzer_knaller: avril is hot :d

and @ all.. what is the topic of this thread? only talk english? nothing else?

Watching english movies with english subtitles can be really good for you skills. We did that several time with our english teacher. We met in the evening, orderd pizza and watched quite good dvds.

Fate

watching movies or tv shows in english is good to improve vocabulary and syntax, but the problem is to understand acoustically (correct??) what they said. subtitles are a possibility to avoid that, but if i watch a movie, i dont want to spend all the time reading the fucking subtitle and miss all the precious special effects.
does anybody know black adder? rowan atkinson at his very best. dont know why they showing mr.bean all the time(which is kinda funny, too), but ignore the ingenius story of the black adders. even the german translation is funny, although i prefer the original with subtitles.

@ Ly.: that's why I like her (plus that she's Canadian :d)

@fl0: Syntax is sexy :fresse:

Als Englischstudent im.... *aufdieUhrguck*....zweiten Semester graust es mich angesichts diverser Fehlerquellen. False friends ftw! :fresse:

Und jetzt auf Englisch: As Englishstudent in the second semester freak I always out when I see mistakes. :p

Zum Schluss ein englischer Limerick:

There was a young lady from Riga,
who smiled as she rode on a tiger.
They returned from the ride
with the lady inside
and the smile on the face of the tiger.

Right now, I'm listening to Mr. Jackson. Whadda you guys doin'?

She's just a girl who claims that Iiiiii am the one, but the kiiiiiiiiiiiiid is not my son.....wooohooohoooo :fresse:

€dithbitch: Forgot something. If you want to learn and have fun at the same time, listen to the radio stations from GTA Vice City or San Andreas

it's also a synonym for a guy, right?

but that's not the only meaning of that word, trust me ;)

Mh... would be strange, if you got nerved by an idiot, and 'cause of your wrath you shoud at him "Bugger!"

You know the word as "Leck mich am Arsch" - but the guy in front of you'll think "wtf? he wants to be banged anal?" :d
