Fate, just do what you want. Either look for a good job where to do your alternative service. And you will have a nice time.

Or "join" the army, but then dont moan about your decision. I mean, it might be fun, but you have to accept their "lifestyle".

studying english? that has to suck hard my fellow students were very pleased that we only had english for one semester I'm wondering if I should choose Englisch II in the fifth semester. FEM looks more interesting though xD

I really like watching movies in english too bad most of the movies are AE instead of BE. this way it's sometimes hard to understand our british neighbours...
you should watch Terry Pratchett's Hogfather (teh muhvie!) in englisch, then you'll see what I mean

Personally, I'm very happy about that. RP sounds lousy, if you ask me. AE is way better.
