I wonder if those oneliners are really appropriate for educational purposes ?
What about writing the same amount of bs like most of you do in german threads ?

In my opinion is this thread a good chance to write and read (maybe not the best) english :)

learning by doing ;)

(Die gleiche Idee für so einen Thread hatte ich vor ein paar Tagen auch :) )

Good morning everyone!

Have a nice day and make the best of the last workingday for this week.
Maybe someone has to work on staurday and/or sunday too, but the weekend is nearby FOR ME! :d

i hate fridays. Only 3 days to a new week. And at times like this when i have holydays it tells me: "Just three days remaining".
I don't want to go back to school... i trained my laziness so well. And i have to do some presentationwork for tuesday. Damn english presentation about Australia. I've got the theme Australian enviroment xD

What a funny thread and yet it is a lot of fun to read here. Therefore I decided to write some spam as well.

Well I was bad in school English as some of you but I improved myself by certain hobbies:
- programming
- English manuals
- gaming in English only
- movies in English
- Animes with English subtitles :bigok:

and so on, but still from my own experience I can tell that to learn English you should speak English otherwise you will not improve much.

Fortunately, my job requires me to speak English a lot. I travel often to foreign countries to train teachers, professors or even doctors from technical schools or universities. It's a lot of fun and this way I can improve my language skills.

The thread is basicially a good idea but still there is a big difference in speaking and writing English. When you write in English you have much time to think about words and grammar but when you speak your timespace is much more limited. However, since I trained American and British people last year I can tell that they are pretty tolerant regarding your language. Nevertheless it was hard to communicate with them because they talked fast and in their dialect (especially the Americans). That's why sometimes you have to guess the meaning of a sentence.

Anyway, English is an important language and you shouldn't learn it half-heartedly. I think grammar is not as important (it's easier than German anyway) as knowing lots of vocabulary and their pronunciation. On the latter I still have to improve as well especially in technical words ^^.

Well no one will learn anything from short sentences. And I don't think people should learn swearing in a foreign language. Though it is probably the first thing most people learn :fresse:.

lol what a nice thread :d

but sometimes rly strange sentences :fresse::hmm:

Does "stfu!" count as a complete command-sentence?

What i'm trying to say: who cares ?? about your english language skills, i've made my graduation with 100% in the english exam :d

My intention was only to tell others how you can learn English combined with fun. I can't tell how good my English actually is because I haven't participated in any official English test or exam since graduation. But I don't care either as long as I can easily communicate with our customers. And their feedback (even from British people) is quite good so far.

This thread is a nice try but in the end useless I think since no one takes it seriously.

watching movies in english improved you so much? i dont think so, i always have to look to the subs, cause i always want to know all the words said, but i often miss some.
