I started recapping my Ultra D. I did the harder part first. Although 120W makes it easy, even on lower temps.
All solids are new.

I will probably recap all memory caps as well. They are from Nichicon but not taking any chances here as it will go on cold sooner or later.

I will do the rest as well. But yes, this should do. And I want to test some BIOS versions. And for sure test dimms first.
So lot’s of work ahead.

And even then I still need to do cold on my golden 6000+ F3 as well. Taking gold for CB 11.5 proved I can take more.

Ich habe bei meinem A8R-MVP den Voltmod eingebaut, wie es im Internet steht, allerdings wird dadurch der Vdroop noch viel stärker.

Liegt last an ist die Vcore Spannung relativ genau mit +-0.01V, allerdings springt im IDle die Spannung von beispielsweise 1.52V auf 1.58V hoch, wenn wirklich garkeine Last anliegt.

Gibt es für den ADP3186 irgendwelche möglichkeiten, den Vdroop unter Last zu verringern?

Edit: Ich habe mal einige Vdroop Mods für AnalogDevices rausgesucht und es scheint mir, als würde immer zwischen CSSUM und CSCOMP ein 50kOhm gesetzt.

Beim A8R wäre das hier bei PC987:

Da PC986 nicht bestückt ist, werde ich dort mal mein Glück versuchen und einen Trimmer setzen.

Edit: I was wondering, how rare is this board? I mostly see DFI Lanparty boards.
Edit 2: I see there are 3 versions, NF4, NF4 Ultra and NF4 SLI. Is this the NF4 non ultra?

So it is NF4 standard. That would mean SATA 150.
It would also mean 800MHz HTT, BUT I do have the 5x multi and was able to post with 1000MHz HTT (no OS yet).

Ach die alte Leier. Wir sollten mal eine Luxx-Kasse einführen, wo jeder was für altbackene Phrasen reinwerfen muss.

Ach übrigens, Entsorgen kann ich auch gut. (Ups, das waren wohl die ersten 5€ für die Phrasen-Luxx-Kasse )

Mine (same batch) could do:
- on cold: 3.5ghz boor and 3.7ghz validation.
- air: 3.1ghz boot

Wenn mich nicht alles täuscht, dann haben zumindest die besten FX57 am meisten 0536 als Produktionsdatum gehabt. Inwiefern sich das auf den FX60 widerspiegelt, keine Ahnung, aber sieht vielversprechend aus!

FX-57 is best at 0516.
My FX-60 of 2006 is better on air (but the same on cold).

I was testing some rejects on cold today.

I made some example benches to know what it could have done without maxing things.






I tested another cpu (BY 0538). It was not stunning. Max validation and boot was 3480MHz.

Edit: corrected the speed of the BY chip.

No, 800MHz HTT is for another version, NF4-4x. The "4x" means 4x multi maximum. It was used on DFI NF4 Infinity s754.

The B1 needed 1.475v to boot XP for 3.3GHz...
The other one needed 1.50v to boot XP at 3GHz. I expected a lot more scaling on cold for this one.
