Wie den PAE Modus in XP 32bit nutzen um mit 4GB arbeiten zu können?

Ich hatte in einem englischen Forum mal danach gefragt, und einer schrieb mir dies:

If your computer is in PAE mode it will not only use, but also display 4GB of RAM.

To enable PAE mode, you have to add PAE to the boot entry in the BCD file. Open an elevated command prompt. Type Run BCDEDIT /SET PAE ForceEnable.

Jedoch werde ich daraus nicht schlau. Wo finde ich die "BCD Datei" und wo trage ich dort was ein?

Run ist glaube ich das, was in der dt. Version Ausführen heißt.

Eventuell "BCDEDIT /SET PAE ForceEnable" bei Start -> Ausführen eintippen

Muss man das denn bei jedem Boot machen?

BCDEDIT ist aber Vista und nicht XP

Muss an die boot.ini rangehängt werden und sieht bei mir z.B. so aus:

Kann ich die boot.ini mit dem ganz normalen Editor bearbeiten in XP?

Wenn das wirklich so einfach ist, warum macht das dann nicht jeder?

Ich bekomme am Mittwoch meine zweiten 2GB, dann probier ichs aus. Vielen Dank schon mal für die Antworten, bin gespannt obs klappt.

PAE gibts doch nur bei Windows Serversystemen. XP ist doch aufgrund der Lizenz auf 4GB beschränkt ?!
