Yes, linux has more possibilities, as you can overwrite at least the open source part. I don't know if the SMU mailboxes aren't secured there, i highly assume that they are.
So, whatever LACT may give you as maximum, without tinkering with the amdgpu module, should be the same as +10% power limit in Windows. I suppose your card has 340W stock limit?
Interesting.. this is some number LACT came up with, or does it seem plausible due to other stuff, like real measurement of the cards power consumption or at least some benchmark scores.
As a softworker, i now one thing: never trust software. Not even your own.
Of course, hardmods also work. On my GeForce i simply soldered another shunt resistor in parallel, and now i have ~380W limit instead of 305W. Works also on Radeons, since the power signals from the controllers are somewhat tangled to the measurement on the shunts. Curent limit, though, not so much, but it is recommended only to go beyond this limit with proper water cooling.
So, 400W or something is totally doable. You would lose warranty, if you care about that.

Sind auf dem Stick auch direkt gängige Dinge wie LACT oder memtest_vulkan drin?
Fedora 43, Kernel 6.17.1 mit fixierter SMU-Firmware. Kein GUI, keine Anwendungen außer i2c-tools und RebelsTool 1.0.9. Es ist ein reines i2c-Linux für den Stick: rein, tunen, raus, Windows.
Jemand wie du braucht es nicht unbedingt, sondern macht das und mehr in seinem stationären Linux. Wenn es dich trotzdem interessiert, schick ich dir per PN eine Feature-Liste.
Ich würde zumindest gerne mal über die Feature Liste schauen. Mein Problem ist: Ich habe übertaktende Freunde, die mich jetzt schon nach Linux fragen.
Einer ist mittlerweile auf Linux gewechselt, der Rest wird wahrscheinlich versuchen den Stick zu bekommen. Da wäre eine Übersicht toll .
PN ist raus. Deine Kumpels werden die feature list nicht brauchen. Das ist ja der Witz am PCGH-Tuning-Linux, dass man i2c-tunen kann und sonst nichts mit Linux zu tun haben muss. Es ist aber natürlich nicht die einzige Möglichkeit. Igor nennt in seinem Bericht über RebelsTool Installations-Varianten für Fedora, und hellm hat sogar ein passendes Script geschrieben ("RestoreI2c"), das die SMU-Firmware downgraded (auch wenn der i2c-Zugriff bei Fedora nativ zumindest mit 9070/XT noch funktioniert). RebelsTool und Script sind in der Download-Tabelle beim R.B.R.T.

Bin halt nun noch der Hauptansprechpartner für Linux, da freue ich mich über alle Informationen und sei es auch nur Hintergrundwissen. Davon kann man nie genug haben um zu verstehen.
Liegt es daran meine Karte den 2x8pin Stecker hat? Oder warum hat bei mir das Upgrade von Luft auf Wasser im UV kaum was getan. Habe in Steel Nomad -125mv auf Luft und Wasser mehr geht net und der Score auch nicht sonderlich stark gestiegen. Schlechter Die?
Bei mir hab ich das gefühl das es steigen würde aber es mit -5mv mehr sofort crashed höhste was ich hatte waren 8273 oder sowas and punkte in steel nomad

All of this because one entitled certain somebody though he can bully me, and I didn't accept his behavior. So he got mad and turned all his friends against me. No matter what, I taught you how to increase the power limits for RDNA3 and RDNA4, after years of you failing to do anything about it. Instead of recognizing it, you doubled down on your nonsense (which was wrong btw, there is no magic bit that changes +VID to -VID lol).

I didn't break the forum rules, first post was MrH benchmark results, and 2nd one I laughed for not being accredited with RDNA3/4 power mod via I2C on Linux, I have offered this method to the whole community, I think it's bad not being credited after I did all the work. But I get it, tribal politics, one of yours so you don't care about reality. It is what it is.

This way people don't have to solder anymore, they can temporary or permanently alter their RDNA3 and RDNA4 power levels, + other modifications (VID etc, current limit etc).
I also have no problem with others replicating my work, I encourage it. I was just expecting common sense that is all.
It is also not "my behavior", I came with good intentions and your friend bullied and ridiculed me, for not knowing as much as he does. I cannot accept such behavior, I do not care who you are or how famous you are in the overclocking world. He was wrong on my project and I didn't want to accept it, sorry.
Again, everyone can build as many tools using this idea, I was just expecting common sense, that is all.
