Hallo zusammen,

aktuell habe ich einige Home-Server laufen. Darauf jeweils immer Debian-Linux installiert. Die Kisten laufen eigentlich seit drei Jahren stabil 24/7 durch. Seltsamerweise kommt neuerdings, oder ich habe nicht genau hingeschaut, der Fehler der "exception Emask 0x0 SAct 0x200000 SErr 0x0 action 0x6 frozen".

Es sind alles Enterprise-Festplatten. WD HC550, 560 und Toshiba MG08, 09, 10. Die müssten doch mit dem NCQ klar kommen? ChatGPT schreibt, ich solle es im Grub deaktivieren. Aber ich weiß nicht, ich habe es wie gesagt schon so lange laufen lassen.

Weiß einer wie man die Kernel-Fehlermeldung wegbekommt? @Holt @Firebl ?

Ja, alle Platten die mit NCQ klarkommen, was bei HDDs ja nur bedeutet, dass sie die Befehle intern umsortieren können um die Kopfbewegungen zu minimieren, geben an wie viele parallele Befehle sie akzeptieren. NCQ zu deaktivieren scheint mir hier nicht zielführend, ChartGPT ist leider nicht so schlau wie die meisten Leute glauben. Schau mal mit smartctl auf die S.M.A.R.T. Werte der Platten und poste sie hier.
 
Die SMART-Werte sehen alle gut aus. Ist nichts drin, auch keine UDCMA-Fehler. Also die typischen Fehler für wacklige SATA-Kabel. Ist eine Toshiba MG08, habe nichts aktiviert, alles out-of-the-box betrieben.

Die SMART-Werte sehen alle gut aus. Ist nichts drin, auch keine UDCMA-Fehler.
Gut, hast Du dies auch mal für alle anderen Laufwerke getestet? Denn wenn eine von ihnen Probleme bei der Kommunikation mit dem Host Controller hat, dann blockieren die Wiederholungen der Übertragungen gerne den ganzen SATA Host Controller und andere Platen können dann in einen Timeout laufen.
