ASUS M3N WS - AM2+ Mainboard Sammelthread​

1. Einleitung


Da ich meinen Server evtl. bald mit diesem Board bestücken möchte und ich leider nicht soviele Infos über dieses Board finde, mache ich diesen Sammelthread auf. In der Hoffnung mehr darüber zu erfahren, bevor ich es kaufe und anderen die Möglichkeit geben, Informationen auszutauschen. Auch wenn es sicher nicht sehr viele geben wird, die dieses Board einsetzen werden. Da dies mein erster Sammelthread ist, bitte nicht gleich schlagen, wenn es sich langsam entwickelt. Offen für konstruktive Kritik und Infos, wie ich es besser gestalten kann, bin ich immer.

3. Presseberichte

Yeah, I thought PCI X was pretty much dead. I guess not. Fudo pictures an Asus nForce 780a AM2+ motherboard with a PCI X slot. It seems quite odd to me, but maybe someone does want that.

Asus is getting ready to announce yet another Nvidia-based AMD motherboard, although this one comes with a slight twist, it has a PCI-X slot. PCI-X is generally found in servers and workstations, and as such the name for this upcoming motherboard is the M3N-WS, WS standing for workstation. We're not quite sure if this board will use the 780a or 750a chipset, as it's hard to tell just by looking at a picture, but either which way, this board features an N200 chip. The rest of the slots consists of a x16 PCIe, two x1 PCIe and two PCI slots.

Kann der PCI-X Port eigentlich 133MHz?

Laut Manual kann er das. Kannste sogar umjumpern auf 100MHz.
Will mir wahrscheinlich auch das Board kaufen (natürlich wegen dem PCI-X-Slot) und würde mich freuen, wenn sich hier noch was entwickeln würde.
Also wer das Board hat, möchte doch bitte seine Erfahrungen damit hier posten!

Moin,

zu dem Board gibts nicht viel zu sagen. Es läuft ohne Probleme.
Habs seit ca. März und bisher ist mir nicht wirklich irgendwas negatives aufgefallen.

Aktuell läuft ein Athlon 2 250 drauf (vorher Phenom 2 940), 8 GB Geil Green 1066mhz,
SB Audigy, 4 Hitachi 1 TB Platten.

Das Board ist nicht wirklich zum OCen gedacht, die maximale Vcore die sich bei meinem Phenom einstellen lies war die standard Vcore.

Einen negativen Punkt gibt es aber doch, wenn man eine Creative Soundkarte benutzt.
Wenn im Bios C1E aktiviert ist, kommt es im Idle zu Soundknacksern.


Ansonsten ein TOP Board.
