Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Saeed Khatibzadeh rejected any possibility of Tehran surrendering its enriched uranium to the United States, as per Iranian state media.
Furthermore, Khatibzadeh said that Iran and the US continue to exchange messages, but stressed that Washington's demands are "excessive."
Previously, US President Donald Trump insisted Iran's stockpile of highly enriched uranium would be taken away and
brought to the US. On the other hand, Iran vowed to keep the material
in the country. Significant differences also arose over the Strait of Hormuz. The two sides have not yet set a date for the next round of talks.
