Asus HD7970-DC2-3GD5 Bios Update sinnvoll?

Mahlzeit,

ich habe grad gesehen, dass es für meine HD7970-DC2-3GD5 ein Bios Update gibt:
HD7970-DC2-3GD5 - Graphics Cards - ASUS

Was heißt genau folgendes:
1. This tool only support ASUS MB with UEFI BIOS. Update nur mit Asus Mainboard? Hab ein Gigabyte Z87x-D3H.
2. Update your ASUS VGA card's VBIOS from legacy VBIOS to UEFI VBIOS. Update vom alten Bios Layout auf da neue UEFI Layout? Wo seh ich denn überhaupt das alte Bios Layout von der Grafikkarte?
3. The tool can only be used under Vista, Win7, Win8. Hab Win 8 64bit, also kein Problem.
4. The update processing is irreversible.(You cannot use legacy VBIOS any longer). Das Update kann nicht rückgängig gemacht werden. Das alte Layout kann nicht weiter verwendet werden.
5. The old legacy VBIOS update on our website cannot be used any longer. Das alte Bios der Graka von der Asus Seite kann nicht länger benutzt werden.


Lohnt denn so ein Update überhaupt? Hab sowas noch nie gemacht.

Das wäre wohl das Bios mit der Unterstützung für UEFI GOP, damit Fast Boot von Windows 8 genutzt werden kann. UEFI GOP ermöglicht ein Booten ohne Legacy -Unterstützung und beschleunigt den Bootvorgang entsprechend.

Meines Wissens nach kann das Bios-Update auch nur in Verbindung mit einem Asus Mainboard durchgeführt werden (siehe 1.).
