Figured it's a good option and ordered one, should get it tomorrow!

Scaling maybe the exact same as the LG, no fan (risk of developing some annoying side noise eventually), better factory calibration and can get it at a good price right now, SO tired of waiting to get one of these.

Really limited information on such an important thing but it seems to me that the ASUS has a different scaler, blurry in both directions. Also read (one source) that it can accept and display 1440p in the 480hz mode which the LG can not. Curious to see if this behaves the exact same way as the LG in that too.

Das is doch der Sinn dahinter das man eine höhere Auflösung haben will damit das Bild schärfer wird als vorher mit der niedrigeren Auflösung eben zb 1080p
sonst hätten wir ja nun auch keine 4K Geräte sondern noch 640 x 480 Geräte wie in den 90gern

Also mich verwundert es schon das du denkst das 1080p auf 48" gestreckt ( 46 PPI ) gleich scharf zu 4K 48" ( 92 PPI ) ist bzw 32" 1080p ( 68 PPI ) gleich scharf wie 4K auf 32" ( 137 PPI )

Und darum sieht eben 1080p auf 32" auch schlechter aus als 4K auf 32" oder 1080p ohne Skallierung auf nem 32"

Schärfe und Auflösung sind Äpfel und Brinen, aber ich merk jetzt schon, dass eine Diskussion absolut sinnlos ist.

Zumindest die Darstellung orthogonaler Formen (weil man hier die stufigen Kanten nicht merkt) sollte im 1080p Modus eigentlich identisch scharf sein (die Pixel werden ja nicht größer, es stellen einfach 4 Pixel den Inhalt von einem dar).

Apologies for the english again, but i'll chime in since there is so little talk about this monitor online. No updates, but in use it has been perfect for me. Using both HDR and SDR, no need to ever go into menus, colors always look right to me and the HDR modes look good. Using the TFTCentral color profile. Theres really no adjustments on the monitor, but i've done a slight brightness/saturation adjustment on the Radeon drivers to make it look pleasing to me which i never touch either.

One serious issue was blackscreening (requiring power disconnection), which i noticed was due to not being in HDR mode when switching to the 480hz mode which is in HDR for me. It didn't always happen, and when i now know to turn HDR on first before swapping to it it has never happened.

Hm muss mal schauen, ob ich die aktuelle hab. Wenn ich mal wieder daheim bin, muss ich nachsehen.

Die einzige Schwäche ist das beschissen einstellbare RGB (am besten einfach abdrehen).

Hm, had this... like 2 or 3 times in the whole life-cycle for now. But it appeared only with my 5090 (not with my previous 4070Ti), so i wasn't sure if this a Blackwell thing.
I had this only on power-on my pc after standby, the 2nd screen woke up but not the asrock. But as I told, only happend 2 or 3 times in half an year...
So no reason to not buy it, I'd say, especially if you find a good deal for less then 800€.

They got them locked behind Patreon, was only a dollar or so to join and grab it though. Check their settings guide there too if you do it, wasn't much or very detailed but ok to see anyway.
