Sorry for late reply. I guess it depends on your cooling performance. I’d say start out with 1031 mv and work your way up. I’ve had some scary hard crashes but after shutting down, draining the psu then restart, everything works fine.
Okay Luxx, we have a final result :D
I finally settled with these settings after a lot of testing, reading, even more testing (and failing ....). Stable 2500 mhz under 70C was my goal: d I hope it can help someone with the 6800 nonXT card!
Yeah that was intentional and since I've increased the flck a bit, did a new run with everything maxed out but ended up with 75C peak. This runs in a custom watercooled loop so no air cooling :) And yeah honestly I just use TS to compare my settings and results with others since everyone uses it...
Yeah I did push it to the limits, meaning I maxed out the Adrenalin settings on clocks and vram but with 329W and TD 1100mv min/max. Not an ideal daily gaming profile though... The thing is I would like to run it a bit cooler and still manage to reach some higher (not highest possible) clocks.
Okay, so after A LOT of testing I still can't say for sure what the hell I'm doing :ROFLMAO:
But here are my latest results. What would you suggest to do next, what's my next step? I'm looking for a stable and as cool as possible OC here (of course...) for my daily gaming. This is not the best...
Okay, so 6800 XT bios loaded, then you set gfxclk to 2600 (in MPT or do you mean Adrenalin?), then TDV Vmin to 1025 mv?
Now wait, 6010 mhz?! :d You lost me here...
I did manage to max out Adrenalin with 1100mv on TDV Vmin/max and 2138 mhz on vram but that is not really healthy in the long run...
Okay, cool! I'll try to test with other bios and see the results.
I did some gaming last night (AOE4) and something did not add up because I got a crash when playing with these maxed out settings. I need to find some kind of sweetspot that doesn't just work for benchmarks but everyday gaming as...
I see, thanks for that reference! I'll try to finetune my OC now.
I did try to push this and 1150mv is possible, my temps at 1100mv never goes beyond 72C when running Time Spy.
So thank you guys for all the help here, I played around with the settings and boy is it possible to go beyond the...
Ah yeah I do have a watercooled system so I guess that will handle the additional heat. I'm not sure though I understand this correctly, "with only 233W there is no way to use higher V", why is that? Am I missing something? Wattage depends on the ampere and voltage input?
Regarding the temps...
Thanks for your quick reply! Why only for benchmarking? Is it just to get an idea if the card can handle the oc? With the customized power limits (Power Limit GPU = 300, TDC Limit GFX (A) = 300 and TDC Limit SoC = 50) I was able to max out my vram and also reaching ~2450 mhz on FurMark, 3DMark...
Thanks for this great thread, been trying to catch up on as much as possible here :) I have a few questions I was hoping you could help me out. I'm new to Radeon and MPT...
I've read you can unlock the voltage limit, is that also possible on the 6800 (non XT)? If so, can you provide me with...
