Strange behavior. Never happened to me. Maybe the Rom is faulty. I flash my bioses under Windows using winflash with the clear all Option.

I flash my bios with an external programmer in a different pc. It seems that the not original chip was not fully compatible. I expected it to work or not work, not 80% work.

I've never had that happen either. And i even ordered some bios chips in china which work great (besides one being DOA)...

Most of the time I just pick them from waste motherboards. Like the one I used...

Have you try CMOS reset jumper or load defaults in BIOS setup?

Yes, more then once. But with the old chip back in everything worked normal again.

Ich konnte die Finger doch nicht still halten Bilanz für Spi 32M Läufe:
2400+ FJQ4C IQYHA 0406 UPMW Nr1: 2400 1.65V; 2500 1.7V
2400+ FJQ4C IQYHA 0406 UPMW Nr2: DOA
2400+ FJQ4C IQYHA 0406 UPMW Nr3: 2400 1,65V; 2500 nicht stabil bei 1,725V, mehr nicht getestet

Serials sind Z395583B40xxx (xxx= 093, 100 und 130). Der erste ist ganz gut, der dritte ist denke ich auch "ok". Den zweiten muss ich mir nochmal genauer ansehen.

Schöne CPUs. Leider schon wieder ausverkauft . DOA und getestet ist schon ziemlich blöd. Da hast du mit deinen "Müllkippen" Prozessoren ja fast mehr Glück gehabt.

Es waren "nur" 6 Stück glaube ich. Ich habe 3 davon, den Rest dürften ItsFun und digitalbath abgegriffen haben. Die DOA Cpu teste ich in einer ruhigen Minute nochmal, eventuell hat die ja nur zicken gemacht beim ersten Test... Aber ja "getestet" und dann DOA ist komisch. Zumal die Teile in Antistatikfolie eingepackt und mit ESD Schaum geschützt waren. Also Verpackung war mehr als ok.

Meine sind heute erst in Frankfurt angekommen. Zustellung voraussichtlich in den nächsten drei Tagen.

Bei mir waren sie am 15. in Shenzhen, am 16. in Frankfurt und heute morgen im Briefkasten. Denke es ist bei dir ähnlich... Deine Steppings würden mich interessieren, wenn sie da sind. Und natürlich auch wie gut die takten. Ich hab einfach mit 200x11 und 1.65V angefangen und dann den Takt auf 200x12 und 200x13 angehoben. Wurde es instabil, dann die Vcore rauf, bis SuperPi 32M durchläuft. Denke viel schneller kann man nicht testen.

Does not post with my Corsair pc3500 and Mushkin pc3200.

But it does post with my pc3200 corsair. All bh5.
Any idea why?

I would try to flash the BIOS with all these switches:

Maybe the dfi defaults to cl3 with some of these sticks? Or the initial vdimm is too low for some sticks?

I don’t flash with Award bios tools 😄. I flash externally.
I tried setting it on c2 and c2.5 and 2.9v. That should do,
even bios defaults did not load it.

I just swap bios chips...

Edit: For those who wanted the nf7-s with blue slots just now on Ebay... sorry guys.

All of those bh sticks is old bh and not utt? I‘m puzzeled why it shouldn‘t work as you‘d expect it to.

It is old bh5. The strange thing is that I found out that one of 3 corsair pc3500 works fine.
I think I will order one or two bios chips of this exact type to test things.

the more you know: sobald dem LP B richtig was auf die Eier geht, kann es eine Melodie abspielen - der Speaker wurde nicht umsonst auf das Board verlötet

260-MHz+ sind aber noch immer nicht erreichbar. Mit BH-5 vielleicht und viel Saft... imho lieber nicht.
TCCD Bändiger haben es einfach mehr drauf

Thanks for the screenprint. That gives info. I found a working 2nd bios chip. Same issues.
Nice as a collector. To much troubles to take serious.
I put it a side for now. I will try in a year or so...

Edit: this reminds me of the an7 boards I own. Nothing but trouble.

Stoneage hat sich lange mit seinem MSI Delta2 beschäftigt. Er hatte das Problem, dass sein board bei 217MHz abgeriegelt hat. Er hat sich tierisch darüber aufgeregt, da MSI das board mehr oder minder als ein OC board geworben hat (Vdimm=3,3V ;Vcore=2V...). Mein damaliges Delta2 Pl war schon bei 209MHz am Ende. Dass MSI eine OC Sperre eingebaut hat, halte ich für Quatsch. Das Problem dürfte die NVMM verursachen. Je nach Speicher und NVMM Version bootet das board tatsächlich bis ca. 220MHz (Cl2). Bei dem ASRock ist es teils ähnlich.
Die Delta2 hatten problematische BIOSe. Das erste BIOS B30 ist auch das beste für das board. Die späteren BIOS Versionen waren meist schlechter. Bei den neueren Versionen musste man z.B. meist DOT (automatische Übertaktung) aktivieren, damit es stabil lief.
Stoneage hat auch das erste mod BIOS für das Delta2 gemacht.
Interessant ist für mich, dass das DFI mit der letzten SB und Delta2 ähnlich sind, bzw. ähnlich problematisch.
Mein jetztiges Delta2 Pl ist in einem build und läuft FSB 235MHz 24/7 mit Hynix DT-D43.
