None of the reviews of Amilo Si1520 I have seen says anything about the chassis, if it is plastic or magnesium alloy. I am afraid (based on the evidence in the above German review) that the chassis is plastic, which is also typical for FuSi Amilo series. If so, then this subnotebook is loosing...

@waldemator, so I am. :( Those interested in FS Amilo Si1520 subnotebook, may like to see many pictures available in this long review of it (unfortunately, in Russian), there are also graphically represented useful benchmarks results on page 4.

I would not take Amilo because it uses Turion X2 (lower performance and battery life compared to Core Duo and even Pentium M). I would not take Acer Aspire either because I don't like its plastic design and I read many complains about this series. I would search for more reviews and users...

xy04, pls don't post offtopic. This is a subnotebook thread. I know Zepto has one subnotebook in their line, but it is out of competition (high price, low quality display, small battery life, plastic chassis etc. ... I hope Zepto's gaming laptops are better made).

You can call to dell.de customers service and order the notebook. They will connect you with a proper person. I think they would send it to Austria (if there is no dell.at), I am not sure though. Just ask.
