I haven't tried XMP. What kind of stability issues are you having? I know if I leave vcore on auto it would crash sometimes at idle/low loads. Never looked into why as running fixed vcore is what I usually do anyway and that "fixes" it for me.

901 is definitely the best bios for me on SR or DR b die. I was just testing some SR as going to be sending CPU and memory to someone else. This CPU/MB and bios will run DR b die at the same timings and clocks user just wants SR so that is what I tested.

@Termi Easy way to test is 1 stick at a time. If slot 1 wont do XMP and slot 2 can it is bad MB. Also bios has built in memtest so no need for Windows although the test is not the most useful but better than nothing.

@TurricanM3 I take it that is stock clocks and auto voltages? The temps are high for your score. I just got a new 12900kf to test and this was my temps for r23 run 53/42/44 clocks 1.39v llc7 bios. Cooling Arctic 420 AIO. SP86 101/61 Ambient temp 22c Not a good CPU compared to my first one...

I think to really know if the MB is good is you have to test it. Not all 2021 Apex MB are bad. I have seen guy running 6933 on 2021 Apex also.

On my 2021 Apex around 6600 tp 6666 I need to clear cmos and enter values or it is unstable. 6400 no issues with entering timings and going back into bios and making changes. Put same cpu and memory into 2022 Apex and 7000 is no problem getting stable or making changes in bios and rebooting...

It depends on the CPU if 10th or 11th gen in z590 MB. What CPU are you using? 11th gen cpu most will prefer gear 1 which for most will be in the 3600-3866 range and 10th gen 4266 to 4400c16 both depending on IMC.

I have never water cooled ram, What kind of temps do you see with water cooled dims on Karhu or other memtests? With a fan on ddr4 @1.55v I was in the 44c range with a 120mm fan on them. ddr5 @1.6v I am around 48c. Edit i understand you are saying 5-6c over ambient would be water cooled mem temps.

z590 mb with 11th gen cpu you cannot set rtls manually. Only Mb that allows that is Asrock OC. On z590 MSI with 11th gen cpu setting round trip latency enabled and rtl section to dynamic tightens rtls. This is the same on z690 ddr4 MBs.
