Looks like 5603 contains the fix for ASUS WMI, now CPU_OPT and Chipset temperature are properly reported.

So I guess with pre-Zen2 processors BIOS shows millions while with Zen2 it reports zeroes. I have 3700X and I have zeroes.

beetleatwar The version I tested properly reported CPU_OPT and Chipset temperature. I don't have external sensor so Tsensor 1 temp was 0. These 3 sensors are reported by ASUS EC, for some reason ASUS WMI does not have values from it (in all Ryzen 3000 firmwares). BTW what CPU do you have? I...

eSp!s0 that's a known bug, it is not fixed in the latest version 5601 as well. Actually ASUS support sent me a private beta BIOS which solved the problem, but I can't say when they will include the fix in an official release. I suppose it's good to ping ASUS support to make them know it is...

1.5 month since I installed AGESA 1.0.0.4B BIOS. Today I checked Event Viewer and found out I had 8 WHEA errors in the log, all of them after the BIOS installing. All those errors appeared on Windows start-up after power-on or reboot, all had the same description: Source: WHEA-Logger Event ID...

Need to update my message regarding occasional hangs - actually they do appear sometimes unfortunately, but not as often as before. They appeared only on reboot so far.

Regarding occasional hangs on reboot or power-on I reported on 5406: I applied Reous's profile (Speard Spectrum disabled + PCIe Ten Bit support disabled) from here. Fast Boot is disabled as well. Seems to be fine so far (10 days), previously I used 5220 because of the hangs. Asus said me that...

Hi everyone! Could you please clarify about .CMO files: 1. Will a file made in one BIOS version be compatible with another BIOS version? 2. Are there any internal checks in ASUS profiles software which prevent loading incompatible .CMO files? 3. If BIOS fails to boot after profile loading can...

Yes, please upload. I guess last modification time could be the tip.

OK, I see. Could you please upload the modded 5406 bin file you used to create the profiles? It would be a nice starting point for further mods.

Exactly! What tool(s) can I use to do that myself?

    [Sammelthread] ASUS Prime X470-Pro (AM4)

OK, I guess you don't have problems with hangs on reboot with 5406, that's good. @Reous BTW is it possible to change critical temperature from 75C to another value via profile?

    [Sammelthread] ASUS Prime X470-Pro (AM4)

ft5555 nice! Did you have any problems without the profile?

KJaneway So finally how did you get it? Latest BIOS 5406, particular PSU, clear CMOS several times and manual DRAM timings, right?

StillPad I guess you're using BIOS 5406? This is AGESA 1.0.0.4b BIOS, it's known for the hangs on reboot, that's why I'm using 5220 (AGESA 1.0.0.3ABBA). AFAIK DDR4-3600 is "officially" overclock for Zen 2. Moreover 4 DIMMs are "officially" supported at 2666MHz only. This doesn't mean it won't...

Yes, hope so. In general ASUS supports its MBs for 2 years at least. They also need to add support of Ryzen 4000s. With Corona everything shifted but I suppose the plans are present.

Same as Murazor, reported to ASUS, they said it is AMD bug. Will wait for AGESA 1.0.0.5 BIOS.
