First slot both channels passed in the first test. Second slot in both channel test failed. Second slot first channel failed, second channel passed. Now I swapped the dimms and reapplied the thermal pads, cleaned the gold fingers with isopropyl. Test is running in the first slot. If it will...

I would push some Voltages: TX: 1.33V IMC: 1.45V (should be tricky) I would also try higher SA. In white APEX you need a little bit more. 1.18V for instance Timings: tRP and tRCD to 48. tRFC to 480 tRAS to 64 With these timings maybe you can try RAM VDD/VDDQ to 1.47V. (I know, there is no...

Half of the work is done. 1/0 channel dropped error 5. Now running on 1/1, about 28 cycles left. Actually most errors came last days were: 11, 5 and the single 0 yesterday. This should be my second dim. Would be a good idea to swap the sticks and see what happens with the one which passed in...

That's true. Once it was enabled. But if that's the case maybe we can also fix the issue somehow. At least on 8600.

I believe it will be around 90 mins. 24 GB dimms need around 20 cycles. 16 GB needs 25. Of course more is better but still have some test left. Should be training issue, but fixing won't be easy. Since I already passed several times the 25 cycles test before with both dimms.

Sorry, this is the end of the second test. Now runnkng the half of the second slot. Set it to 40 cycles since one cycle is half time now.

Thank you. Doing 1+0 now, then 1+1. My guess it will be the RAM itself. Maybe I will need different Voltage settings for this dimm, but swapping the dimms could also help, because the closest slot is better most of the times. Here is the Y run from the second slot yesterday. Actually it's funny...

Looks like now I will have problem with Slot B. Could be the RAM iteself too. I will leave to run it anyway. Also will run Y too to see how the IMC performs on CHB. Maybe I should inspect the RAM and the thermal pads on the RAM too. Update, got an error 0 too in the last cycle.

I will check it. Dimm 1 8600 is done, Dimm 2 8600 is running now. That should be weakest slot

Yes, since I can cool it, high Voltage is not an issue. Do you have example screenshot for Gear 4 timings and Voltages?

After the 30 minutes Y today I am starting to belive that I can do the 8600. Everything else is a bonus for me. 🙃

Not in idle, about 45-50 minutes of TM5 run. My daughter does the entertain for us. 😂 I will run 20 cycles for each speed and channel. Will try to go until 9000 awe will see. And Y of course. I believe 8800 should work per slot. I can boot and even bench on 8800. Didn't try higher yet.

Thank you. I will do the per channel test tomorrow. Today is just crazy. The voltage jumps could be really the part of my issue. But TM5 is still freezing around 45 minutes. Something should be changed on my settings, it's hard to find the issue. Update How can I turn off the dimm slot...

Good Morning @Veii Changed LLC to Level 3, IA_AC is 0.65 now, adjusted V/F accordingly. I like this LLC better so far, it's droopy, which is good for TVB boost Voltages. So, set V/F and started Y. Only thing I changed in Voltages is SA to 1.22V (from 1.23V) It was able to run 30 minutes before...

No, it's just experimenting with load lines and some old tricks. I will also try LLC3 and set the curve correctly with IA AC headroom.

Yeah, that's why changed on CPU. I had an updated pic. Ran 20 minutes with LLC5 IA AC 0.08. Default V/F curve, Set Eventual MC to 1.537V, so the trained one still 1.518V Got error 11. Could be a refresh issue? It freezed again. Strange. I will reboot, adjust RAS and lower IA_AC, turn off TVB...

Hello @Veii A little progress. TM5 is freezing after 4 cycles. I raised tRAS and WtR a little. (24/8) CPU VDDQ 1.35V VDD2 1.518V SA 1.23V RAM VDD 1.56V RAM VDDQ 1.47V RX DFE off Trying to adjust here and there to see what happens. Maybe VDD is too much. Update: Changed to LLC5, IA_AC 0.08...

Yes, The per channel test is still waiting. In my opinion the board shouldn't be an issue, I can boot on 8800 and even bench it. Once tried TM5, error spammed 1,5 minutes later, but didn't spend time on that profile, I would like to do it step by step. As you suggested I will try to raise...

[Sammelthread] Intel DDR5 RAM OC Thread

You are right. I need more time to find the issues, but I was able to run 8 minutes Y about 4 times with these combinations. Even on SA 1.18V was able to run 1-2 rounds before error, this was impossible with the C38 profile I tried before. Maybe the RTT training is better on higher Voltage...

[Sammelthread] Intel DDR5 RAM OC Thread

Yes, it's without RX-DFE, I thought it would be better to build a C36 profile instead. I have bigger headroom for TX and VDD2 due to the higher delta's. This one got a blue screen later with PFN list error. 😂 So I reduced the RAM VDD a little and RAM VDDQ. Y was able to run 8 minutes again but...
