[Sammelthread] Intel DDR5 RAM OC Thread

Good Morning @Veii I decided to build a new foundation from scratch. Some of the things (RON, CPU_VDDQ) are from the old one, but I tought it would be smarter to build it up from 8400C38 again to hunt for the good VDDQ deltas. The new profile looks like this right now. (did the capture during...

Safedisk just released a new version, I will try it tomorrow.

I was away when it ran, but next time I will do that. Under load the Vcore is 1.19-1.199V on 57x, it jumps up to 1.234V at 58x

Thank you for the kind words and motivation quotes. :) No pain, no gain! :D I flashed the 9901 which wasn't able to do 8533 at all before, but I tried it with low SA (1.12V) and it will work, it will need a small adjustment here and there. I went back to LLC4, so maybe the V/F needs little...

I know, this was also a part of my investigation. ☺️ I think I will go as low as LLC3. But maybe in the end it will get a slight OC, and need the higher loadline. We will see. I can at least calm down now, because the unstable memory pissed me up a little. ☺️

Should be something with the IVR due to the less Vcore. I just ran a fast 30 minutes test, but seems okay to me, will run 90 minutes later with a new cold boot. (this one was cold boot too) For TVB I set -5C offset to do not boost to 58X, I will change that later again. Everything else is the...

I see, thank you for the detailed explanation. Then I have to check it somewhere else. I want to bring back the good old 8533 profile before moving forward. If I can't stabilize this one it doesn't make sense to move to the next frequency. Still working on it. Now it runs with 1.16V SA. It...

Hehe, I used car polish to polish the surface. It's very clean. ☺️ When it wasn't clean enough I got some bad temps under heavy load. I think my CPU_VDDQ moved a little. Rtt could be temp sensitive, right? So if it work from lookup table the 10C difference on the Dimms could make a difference in...

Yep, now I have LLC6 with IA_AC 0.30 That's a lot for LLC6. :) Under SFT the Vcore is 1.19V-1.199V, under VST-VT3 it's 1.208V-1.199V I belive the CPU part is okay, something memory related changed, but I will investigate it. Didn't try the 8600 yet, since I had some hard times with the CPU...

I don't know then, but I noticed in the last days when I investigated the issue, that I was able to run much lower VDD2 than before. Same for the TX. Today I expreimented, I was able to run 30 minutes Y on CPU_VDDQ 1.18V with MVDDQ 1.47V. RON is still 48-40-40-48. Maybe it's due to the pressure...

[Sammelthread] Intel DDR5 RAM OC Thread

I will do that for sure, but I have some busy projects. I had to fix this issue because I need stability. 😊 I also had to reduce VDD2 a little, maybe colder environment helps in that. Y is still running now, only 6 minutes ago, but hey I wasn't able to run 5 seconds before, so it's a step...

@Veii Seems like I was able to fix the MC SP issue. I had an Arctic backplate protector installed to support the original backplate to do not fall when I unscrewed the Iceman block ( I remembered wrong about it had Alphacool installed). Which is good for Iceman block, but not good for original...

So they get the timings, memsettings, etc from Memtweakit for instance?

QD was already there before, but I can swap the ends of the tube, it's not a problem. I can even take out one QD which is connected to the CPU out.

Nope. I can still revert to Iceman, but I would be more happy with this particular block. Not easy. Maybe I can even try this block with a contact frame. ☺️

[Sammelthread] Intel DDR5 RAM OC Thread

Supercool using the original ILM With the ILM you secure the cold plate and then you screw the block housing on the top of the cold plate. With this you get the original contact pressure what Intel designed. Most users on OCN has this block, like Sugi and many others. It's a little bit messy...

Hm, should I loosen the socket? ILM is screwed to 0,6 Nm torque.

I will do that. Finished TM5 Could the cold environment f*ck up the RTT training? MC SP is 82-82-80-82-82
