Luckily my asrock is stable in C6 state
But I found a weird problem.
My idle consumption is about 11W with my disks.
As soon as I connect in Remote Desktop, it keeps running at 25W!
Even after I close the remote session.
The only way to get my low consulmptuion back is to localy log again...
Thanks for the information.
It seems that C6 state is not stable on asrock motherboard.
I don't understand all the posts (thanks to google trad), but someone suggest that the newest motherboard with "new version" sticker work better?
I have the choice between an old h87m-itx and a b85m-itx "new...
Hi,
I just succeeded!
I have to force C6 state "enabled" on the BIOS (auto doesn't work)
My power consumption is now at minimum about 7.5W with intel fan, and 6.5W without!
It's just outstanding!
Counterpart is a loud pitching noise (the same but louder as in my old i3 laptop)
EDIT: some...
Enabling/Disabling audio in bios seems to make no difference in power consumption.
I've already undervolt by 0.150mv my cpu and gpu, should I try to undervolt ram?
Maybe some tweak I forgot?
Thanks
Hi,
I ordered an used H87M-ITX, and I get pretty similar results that with the B85M-ITX
I'm pretty disappointing, I though I can achieve under 10W configuration like some.
Hi,
Sorry too bother you guys, with my bad english, but your post seems to be the most advanced and useful one to build a low power haswell nas.

- Intel Pentium G3220
