AOL begins to spam agressively via ICQ (and Winamp, suspiciously)

Be cautious. Now when you install old ICQ Pro 2003b, it's getting in internet during installation, downloads ads and installs links to desktop, favourites etc.
Link leeds somewhere to http://free.aol.com.....
I get popups every minute with offer to order DSL ort something else from AOL.

I checked PC with Ad-Aware and it deleted three dangers with link free.aol.com. Before that i got popups every 5 minutes with browser self-opening and redirecting to aol.

As it's very annoying I suggest to everybody to begin to boycot AOL completely, don't order there DSL, something else and let get this sucking company away from european market.

you can try to check your system witch hijackthis and post the log or check it at http://www.hijackthis.de/en

but first i would uninstall that icq and test trillian or an later icq ...

Habe schon mit Ad-Aware 3 hijacks gelöscht.
Was ärgert ist daß jetzt diese mit ICQ selbst "offiziell" kommen.
