Erste Bilder der P45 / X48 Boards


The model names are IP45-MAX, IP45 and IP43 Pro, and it gives away some information about what features the different models will have. Let's start from the bottom with the IP45, as this is a very basic P45 motherboard with a single x16 PCIe 2.0 slot, two PCIe x1 slots and three PCI slots. Around the back is a single PS/2 port, six USB 2.0 ports, a Gigabit Ethernet connector, 7.1-channel audio jacks with a coaxial S/PIDF out and a CMOS reset button.

This board is limited to DDR2 800 and 1,066MHz memory, according to the specs, and it also has six SATA ports and headers for a further six USB 2.0 ports. Depending on the market, Abit has three additional models of this board, one with 10/100Mbit Ethernet, one with 5.1-channel sound and one with both. This is what is commonly known as cost down.

Next up, we have the IP43 Pro, which appears to be a better motherboard than the IP45. It has the same slot layout and the same rear I/O layout, with the addition of an optical S/PDIF out. This board features Abit's micro Guru BIOS and silent OTES chipset cooling and supports DDR2 memory up to 1,200MHz.

The IP45-MAX has a pair of x16 PCIe 2.0 slots, two PCIe x1 slots and two PCI slots. Around the back you'll find a PS/2 port, eight USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, two eSATA, 7.1-channel audio with optical and coaxial S/PDIF out, Gigabit Ethernet and a CMOS reset button. This board also has six SATA connectors, headers for a further four USB 2.0 ports and, of course, silent OTES chipset cooling and micro Guru BIOS. Finally, this board has four DDR3 memory slots with support for 1,600MHz DDR3 memory.

Abit IP45 GT3: Intel P45 DDR3-1600, ATi CrossfireX Support.



The first abit's P45 motherboards that we saw is the IP45-MAX, which has four DDR3 DIMM slots (1600/1333MHz). The rest of the specifications look typical for a P45 board, with abit including only one Gigabit Ethernet unlike some other vendors. abit does include its own patented uGuru and Silent OTES technology. However, there is no exotic cooling solution for the board besides the now common heat pipe based cooler.

Similar to the MAX except for its use of DDR2 instead of DDR3 memory, the IP45 Pro has a more appealing color scheme in our opinion. The feature set remains however. While it has been available already, let's not forget the X48 chipsets amidst all the P45/43 releases. Here's abit's IX48-MAX, which supports up to 4 DIMM of DDR3 1600 memory and has 2 PCIe x 16 Gen 2 slots but no CrossFireX (no dual x8). It does have abit's proprietary uGuru and OTES technologies.

mich interessiert der unterschied zwischen GT3 und Pro

Ob dann die "alten" X38 Boards günstiger werden? Das Abit IX38-QuadGT würde mir ja auch gut gefallen. Die Hauptsache ist DDR-2 läuft drauf.

Hi,
hab mal bei Abit nachgefragt wann mit dem Abit ip45 zu rechnen ist. Als Aussage erhielt ich leider nur das es im 2. Quartal 08 auf den Markt kommen soll.

das IP45 Pro und IP45 sollte anfangs Juli im Laden verfügbar sein. Die DDR3 Variante (IP45 MAX) ein wenig später.

Hatte ich mir auch schon gedacht, hab ich auch nix dagegen einzuwenden.
Ich finde es furchtbar, wie einige Hersteller zig Versionen von einem Board rausbringen, wo jedes 2. im Prinzip dasselbe ist.
Vor allem bei Asus und Gigabyte hat man überhaupt keinen Durchblick mehr

Naja, die Boards sind bei Mix und Alternate schon seit mehreren Tagen gelistet, aber natürlich nicht verfügbar, daran ändert auch jetzt nichts der Eintrag bei Geizhals. Es wird aber jetzt langsam Zeit, mittlerweile haben wir die zweite Juliwoche!
