HD501LJ normal??? neue andere platte?

Hallo,

ich habe mir Heute Mittag die HD501LJ zugelegt (für 80 Euren). Zum ersten mal eine über 80 GB. Die Platte läuft über einen extra Controller.

Zu einem zeigt der mir an, dass die Kapaziät nur 465,76GB beträgt. Ist das nicht bissel arg wenig? Ich kenn nur von meinen 80 Platten, dass die so als 74 GB platten angezeigt werden.

Desweitern find ich, dass die platte im gegensatz zu meinen 80GB Platten ziemlich warm ist und stark vibriert. Ist das normal??? Von meinen 80 GB Seagate platten kenn ich das gar nicht!

Bin am überlegen ob ich mir nicht doch lieber eine 250GB platte, die sicherer wirkt, kaufe und die hier zurück gebe. Ich will die Platte als Backup platte nutzen und bin mir gerade nicht sicher, ob da meine Daten wirklich sicher liegen.

also das mit den 465Gb ist normal. um so größer die HDDs um so mehr geht halt
auch verloren bei dieser umrechnungssache

das sie mehr vebriert das liegt wohl eher daran wie sie verbaut ist denn platten drehen sich nun mal und erzeugen dadurch ne leiche vibration.

Also solange sie keine lauten Geräusche macht ist alles Ok.Lad dir doch mal Speedfan runter und prüfe die Temperatur solange die nicht höher als 40°C ist iat auch alles OK.

Die HD500LJ wird halt ziemlich warm. Das ist mir auch aufgefallen.
Außerdem geh´n sie auch gerne kaputt.

Daten immer schön auf non-Samsung Platten speichern.

ich denke das die nächste 500Gb bei mir ne WD wird da ich RAID eh nicht benötige

Hmmm... Da ich mit meinen alten Seagate Barracuda platten (ST380021A ATA IV und ST3802110A 7200.9) noch nie probs hatte, wollte ich hier auch mal fragen was ihr denn von der neuen Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA II (ST3500320AS) haltet?? (habe den Erfahrungs-sticker schon gelesen)

evt. tausch ich morgen die Samsung 500GB 80 euro gegen eine 250GB Seagate ST3250410AS für 60 Euro. Weil die daten die da drauf sollen sind mir schon sehr wichtig und da nehm ich lieber eine kleinere ausgereiftere platte!!

Hätte mal vorher lesen sollen Die 250GB versionen von Samsung hatten immer gute Bewertungen erhalten.....
